As part of Berkshire's continuous effort to reduce our impact on the environment, we are introducing a new line of pre-wetted knit products at the end of 2007 that utilize a flat pack design. By moving to the flat pack design, the consumer can reduce the primary packaging landfill waste associated with the pre-wetted knit products (inner and outer bag) by 28% compared to the typical j-folded product package. The j-folded product requires 8.26 square inches of primary packing material per wiper versus 6.58 square inches of primary packaging material per wiper for the new flat pack design.
